Good Times at the Paul Bunyan Show
October 13, 2023

The RuggedMade booth at the 2023 Paul Bunyan Show was a big hit as folks came by all weekend to check out our log splitters, chat with our team, and enter some pretty sweet contests.

The big draw was our log splitter giveaway, where contestants had to guess the number of firewood pieces stacked in an IBC tote.

Hundreds entered the contest and submitted a wide range of guesses from 78 to 910 pieces - the median guess was 248.

The winner, from Millersburg, Ohio, guessed the exact amount and is now the lucky owner of a new RS 737-24-RE RuggedMade log splitter. In case you're interested, the correct answer is provided below.

We also gave away two 6-way wedges and one portable sawmill to our daily raffle winners.

Of course, there was a lot of log-splitting in the booth as folks lined up to watch our demonstrations and test-drive the machines. We split three cords, all of which were auctioned off on Sunday, with the proceeds going to local forestry educational programs.

Crowd favorites were the RS 737-24 -RE and our latest model, the RS 322-24-HEX, featuring an electric-start Honda GX270 engine.

Sponsored by the Ohio Forestry Association, the show features lumberjack contests, chainsaw carving, and demonstrations from a variety of logging equipment manufacturers.
