Welcome to RuggedMade. Today, we're looking at the FC205 Vibratory Plate Compactor. The FC205 has a weight of 205 pounds. The plate is 24 inches long by 18 inches wide. This allows it to compact up to 12 inches. These specs make this model the sweet spot when it comes to a machine that can do a wide variety of jobs. It's light enough for patios and potholes yet heavy enough for when more compaction is needed. The FC205 is a forward-only design making it simple to operate. When you increase the throttle, the clutch engages and it drives the vibrating unit through a belt.
A unique feature of the FC205 is its throw-over handle. While not an actual reversible compactor, the flip handlebar allows you to get into tight spots. It makes 180° turns easy and it gives you the option of guiding the compactor from the front.
